The 17th of June 2022 was the launch of the Festival week Scotland in person after 2 years due to COVID. We met so many amazing individuals and organisations. The atmosphere was fantastic & extremely friendly.
Our vice-chair Mohammed Saleh met with many leading organisations in Scotland that support refugees and their rights along with the UNHCRUK senior legal officer Larry Botinnick.
We joined the nationwide protest against the 1st flight booked to Rwanda. Refugees are fragile and need a safe environment. Aye, we stand with refugees. read the full article

We are delighted to support such talented Yemeni couple Saber Bamatraf and Shatha Altowai at the 1st Yemeni artistic event in Scotland on the 8-9 of October 2021. The audience enjoyed the beautiful music composed by Saber, play and a wee Yemeni coffee break with dates and Hareesa.
The play was beautifully executed and the exhibition of "Scratched Identities" and Shatha's paintings were captivating.
We thank Art27 Scotland for organising the event and continuous support to arts and talents.
We are proud to see the Yemeni flag fly high in Tokyo Olympics 2020, we have 5 athletes 3 men and 2 women participating in Judo, Swimming, Shooting, and Athletics.
In such difficult times it’s a breath of fresh air to see these young men and women bring hope and pride to Yemen.

Shatha and Saber have both been awarded IIE-Artist Protection Fund (APF) Fellowships for 2020-21 and are in residence at IASH
